Vitaliy Ugolnikov Bodybuilder - The Next Mr.Olympia?
In bodybuilding, too, one is always on the lookout for the next great athlete who dominates the most prestigious competitions and can serve as a figurehead with special charisma. You don't have to fool yourself, even the Brandon Currys and Big Ramys of this world are no longer young hops and before you know it, at least the sporting careers of today's scene stars are coming to an end.
The name Goodvito has haunted the weight training community for some time. Rightly, as one has to hold on to at the point. Especially for the fact that he is just 23 years old, the young athlete already has an appearance that not only makes his peers green with envy. In addition to its symmetry, the proportions that Good Vito, so his nickname, brings to the stage are by no means something common in the international bodybuilding landscape. His overall very balanced look with a simultaneous freak factor, which comes about through the massive lower body, definitely makes you want more.
Goodvito can justifiably claim to be one of the world's most promising amateur bodybuilders. After the native Russian had already drawn attention to himself on social media, he was able to take the overall victory at the St. Petersburg Championships 2020, one of the most prestigious competitions in his home country, last October. He did the same a little later at the Russia Nationals 2020, held in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia. Ugolnikov refrained from participating in the IFBB Amateur World Championships and the Arnold Classic Europe, which was initially planned.
YouTubers like Nick Miller from the YouTube channel Nick's Strength and Power do indeed compare the Russian bodybuilder with the best of the best, including Phil Heath, Brandon Curry and Big Ramy, among others who recently made the top 3 at the Mr. Olympia. No question about it, it is still not enough to keep up with such dominant and formative competitors, but the fact that Good Vito has potential that is rarely seen is not an issue at all. The fresh look, paired with the narrow waist, is definitely something that you should have on your list.
What Ugolnikov Bodybuilder has to continue working on is his conditioning. At the moment you can still clearly see the difference between Olympic and amateur athletes in their shape. Nonetheless, the 23-year-old has made significant improvements in the recent past. In 2020 alone, the bodybuilder from Russia is said to have built up ten kilograms of pure muscle. His primary goal is now to develop in the offseason from the previous 127 kilograms to around 140 kilograms - with a still manageable body fat percentage.
